Cesme Marina to become center of the Jet-set

A new joint venture aims to make Cesme an international attraction centre, especially for yachts, with a new marina project. IC Abrahim Cecen Investment Holding and Camper & Nicholsons Marina International has taken over Cesme Marina. According to a written statement made by Cesme Marina General Directorate, the marina, hired with the build-operate-transfer model, would host the yachts of the world's jet-set as a part of the CesmeMarina project. The head of Camper & Nicholsons' Administrative Board Nick Maris said: We're satisfied to make investments in such an important spot, because Cesme is the jewel of Turkish coasts with its location. We're working to convert Cesme Marina into a great place to live, making it unique among the other marinas in the Aegean and Mediterranean. The main points of the statement made by Cesme Marina General Directorate were: 1. Cesme Marina is one of the most important marinas on the Mediiterranean and Agean coasts
2. It has a unique physical location
3. It will be a hot spot and meeting point for yachting enthusiasts, offering perfect service to international standards.
4. Cesme Marina, will have an anchorage capacity for 400 boats and 100 boat docks on land.
5. Facilities will include a yacht club, sports and health centres, trade zone, restaurants, cafes and bars.
6. The marina will be put into service in the summer of 2009. The General Director of IC Cesme Marina Tourism expressed: The new marina will highly contribute to the great history and unique architectural structure of Cesme. Besides, it'll be in the center of the marina and yachting sector in the Aegean and Mediterranean basins.
